The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra personnel includes: Music Director and Trumpet: WYNTON MARSALIS; Trumpets: RYAN KISOR, SEAN JONES, MARCUS PRINTUP; Trombones: CHRIS CRENSHAW, VINCENT GARDNER, ANDRE HAYWARD; Reeds: WALTER BLANDING, VICTOR GOINES, SHERMAN IRBY, TED NASH, JOE TEMPERLEY; Piano: DAN NIMMER; Bass: CARLOS HENRIQUEZ; Drums: ALI JACKSON.  

 

 

Comprised of 15 of today’s finest jazz soloist and ensemble players, the band has been the Jazz at Lincoln Center resident orchestra for over 18 years.

The band has toured over 300 cities in more than 35 countries on 6 continents.

The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra performs a vast repertoire, from rare historic compostions to Jazz at Lincoln Center-commissioned works, including compostions and arrangements by Toshiko Akiyoshi, Count Basie, Benny Carter, Billy Childs, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Gil Evans, Dizzy Gillespie, Benny Goodman, Jimmy Heath, Fletcher Henderson, Woody Herman, Thad Jones, John Lewis, Wynton Marsalis, Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk, Gerry Mulligan, Ted Nash, Oliver Nelson, Chico O’Farrill, Sy Oliver, Billy Strayhorn, Ron Westray, Mary Lou Williams, Gerald Wilson, and many others.  Guest conductors have included David Berger, Benny Carter, Paquito D’Rivera, Jon Faddis, Jimmy Heath, John Lewis, Chico O’Farrill, Robert Sadin, Ray Santos, Loren Schoenberg and Gerald Wilson.
